New Diocesan Bishop for the Diocese of St. Anthony (CEEC-USA)

The Feast of the Transfiguration (August 6, 2023) saw the ordination and consecration of the latest bishop for the Communion of Evangelical Episcopal Churches, Province USA. That evening, the Revd. Dr. Chris E.W. Green was welcomed as the new diocesan bishop for the Diocese of St. Anthony.

The service was held at Sanctuary Church, Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA, and saw a representation of clergy from multiple dioceses and religious orders of the CEEC-USA, as well as the archbishop of CEEC-Canada, and ecumenical guests. Thirteen bishops participated in the service, which was led by The Rt. Revd. Dr. Ed Gungor, founding bishop of the Diocese of St. Anthony, and the Revd. Paul Paino, rector of Sanctuary Church.

In addition to his work in the Diocese of St. Anthony and the CEEC, Bishop Green is Professor of Public Theology at Southeastern University (Lakeland, FL) and Director for St Anthony Institute of Theology, Philosophy, and Liturgics. Bishop Green has authored and edited numerous of books, articles, and blogs, as well as written essays and produced works of art in a variety of mediums.
